A Little Bit About Me...

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, I tutored in a math lab during the summer of my college years and later went into the Peace Corps in Zimbabwe to teach math and science to high school level students. I have also worked as a civil engineer and have directly applied my civil engineering degree in designing grading and utility plans for commercial developments. As a female working in a male dominated field I feel strongly about supporting young girls in pursing their dreams just as equally as young boys. As a teacher for six years and a physical therapy aide for one, I believe I have very good teaching skills. Not only did I have to teach students music and math, subjects I know students are uncomfortable with, I had to teach and motivate patients to do exercises while they were in pain. I have had many years of experience tutoring and teaching students in Kindergarten through 12th grade computers, math, English and reading.
