I have worked for the past 14 years in the behavioral health care field. I have served as a mentor to a youth with behavioral/emotional issues. I hold a BA of Education with a minor in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I also hold an MSEd in Education- Counseling. I hold a current Nebraska teaching certificate and have worked with youth of all ages. I enjoy teaching and helping youth learn. My philosophy is that all children can learn if provided the opportunity and resources that fit their learning style. I believe in positive reinforcement and praise. Children learn in many different ways, and it is an educators role to provide opportunities for children to learn through various methods. I am a positive and outgoing person and believe this is evident in my teaching and presentation style.

I have worked with high school and college students who wanted to improve their skills in writing and speaking. I have also tutored people working to acquire English as a second language. I have twelve years of experience in writing and speaking learned throughout my time in school. I have taken the GRE test and I am currently working on a Master's Degree in Creative Writing.
