Teaching and working with children is something that I truly love to do. Everyone has a different learning style. Seeing the look of understanding and comprehension cross a child's face is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can ever have. A Little Bit About Me...

My style is relaxed. Many students appear frightened of math at first. I cover each subject well, allowing students to ask many questions. I encourage students to work problems while I watch, so I can catch them at the moment they make a mistake. I love teaching students of all ages, in basic math, algebra, statistics, and calculus. I graduated from university in the top 2% of my graduating class, then went on to earn a masters in Comparative Literature. The Pennsylvania State University awarded my a graduate teaching fellowship for the duration of my masters studies. This fellowship allowed me to teach two college level courses in world literature, English composition and rhetoric, and French. In 2005, I moved to Hawaii to take a full time job as a language arts instructor at a well known private school. I taught there for four years and headed the deparment during my last year. Education has always been my passion. While earning my Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I was approached by a professor and asked to work as a teaching assistant with her graduate (M.A. and Ph.D. level) students. I was concurrently hired as a tutor and supplemental instructor for math, economics, and business courses. While working towards my M.B.A at Humboldt State, I taught numerous courses in the business discipline.
