My teaching style revolves around helping the student rationalize the information. I believe it is highly important the student learns to differentiate between the subjective and the objective, providing them with the tools that they can utilize for the rest of their educational and professional careers.
I maintain a high level of patience in dealing with other people. During my studies as an undergraduate and in veterinar school, I have gained extensive knowledge in many subjects. Attending UNC Asheville helped me to realize the irreplaceable value of a passionate, knowledgeable, and empowering teacher. After I received my minor in Mathematics, I applied to become a math tutor for a high school student. I have tutored this student for a year and a half now in Math, writing, and Spanish. Also, throughout this last semester of my undergraduate career, I participated in a Peer Mentor Program through UNC Asheville in which I taught, with a Literature professor, both in and out of the classroom.

My degree in History/Political Science allowed me to be something of a jack-of-all trades in respect to my career. I have done both office work and factory work as well as customer service. However, my last job is perhaps most relevant to this position, because I was in South Korea for 3 1/2 years teaching English to South Korean children ages 5 to 15.
