A Little Bit About Me...

I have wanted to work with kids all my life. I love the way that they learn and think, and how different it is from adults. I studied Biology at Warren Wilson College in hopes of becoming a high school biology teacher. While at college, I did over one hundred hours of service tutoring and mentoring high school and middle school students in Buncombe County. I like working with children of all ages. I believe that children of all ages and cultural backgrounds can learn if given a proper chance. I even managed to teach children in South Korea, when I didn't speak Korean at all and my students had limited English skills. I taught them through games and use of our workbooks and student books.
