For the past two years I have worked as a teaching assistant for the University of New Brunswick within the duration of my MSc. in Geology. I have taught and aided students within the lab sections of Introduction to Geology, Biogeology, Sedimentology, and 2nd year Field School. I am a firm believer in the value of a good education and encourage students to learn everything they can about a subject. My teaching style is structured with my following a pre-determined outlined agenda which ordinarily would have an area designated for issues that the students wish to raise. As a current graduate student I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the effective techniques and skills it takes for one to succeed within the classroom. I have so far earned my BS in Clinical Psychology and am currently working on my Masters in Business Administration, which have both given me a much greater appreciation and understanding of the importance of organization, promptness, and communication as each pertains to being a successful student. As a graduate from one of the top Liberal Arts schools in New England, I helped tutor college students in English Composition for one semester. Before I changed my major, I was Secondary English Education, which translates into training to be a high school English teacher.
