Experience Summary
All of my teaching experience in chemistry comes from my teaching General Chemistry Labs while pursuing Graduate Studies. This experience relates to my issuing pre-lab lectures prior to lab starting and this basically was designed to summarize the lab and work through example problems or demonstrations.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured with my following a pre-determined outlined agenda which ordinarily would have an area designated for issues that the students wish to raise. Here is an example of my preferred prelab lecture:
call class roll/roster
my name
course name and number
priorities of the course
problems I recognized while grading previous assignment
give floor open to students for questions or issues
the lab concept for today's lab
demonstrate lab techniques/relevant calculations if necessary
