I have been writing for my whole life, and have a love of the art that is description. Since Mich of humanity's understanding is based on metaphor, description and its subtleties is a key part of any writing process, be it creative or instructional.My favorite form of writing is creative, however I also enjoy writing essays and other pieces based on fact. No matter what form of writing you endeavor to do, getting your point across through description is paramount. I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. Lecture and memorization is not enough. Further, "teaching to the test" accomplishes nothing. Students must learn the content not just the basics.

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked for 11 years in Virginia as a paraprofessional in the school system, originally doing strictly homebase work with handicapped children, then moving into the schools. I worked with middle school children faced with a wide range of disabilities and disorders, including ADHD, Downs, emotional issues and hearing impairments. I have worked with many of my classmates through my college years, helping them to prepare research papers and presentations at the same time as I was working on mine.
