A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored over 50 children and teens, ages 3-14, in various subjects. With my youngest students, I have helped them improve their reading comprehension and ability markedly. My older students have been teens preparing for college, and as I have done extremely well on my SATs and ACT (scores can be supplied upon request), I have been able to help them improve in that field as well.
I prefer a very laid back, informal environment when I teach. I can adapt very easily, and only require that my students respect me and try their best. I can help them with the rest

My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : In my free time, I write music and stand-up comedy. I'm also currently developing and writing a potential science fiction TV series to pitch to production executives.

I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. The teacher then can use this trust to push the student a little more, intellectually. I find that is what works best for me.
I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled.
