My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : In my free time, I write music and stand-up comedy. I'm also currently developing and writing a potential science fiction TV series to pitch to production executives.

I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. However, my friends were struggling. They hated me a bit for how easy it came to me. I decided to tutor them and help them with homework assignments and studying. They ended up doing very well on the exams, allowing them to secure a 3.0 or higher in the course. I also had to regular help my classmates out with more complex problems in Physics. I was not so much tutoring as working together with them on the homework, but still, it involved clear explanation and a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.

I have tutored over 50 children and teens, ages 3-14, in various subjects. With my youngest students, I have helped them improve their reading comprehension and ability markedly. My style of teaching is entirely dependent upon the needs of each student. My abilities and skills are highly adaptable to the needs each student faces. I believe that each student has a certain type of intelligence. Some will be gifted in art or music or visual learning or learning by repetition, and I consider it my responsibility to find out how each student learns, and then try to teach using their innate intelligence.
