I have been tutoring students of all ages since I was in high school. I began by tutoring my own peers in math and social studies. I would also tutor children from 1st grade on up in all subjects. Once in college, I tutored college students and younger in many fields, primarily mathematics courses. My specialty quickly became preparation for standardized tests as well as calculus because I have a unique ability to discover how each student learns and tailor the lessons to their needs. I can quickly find where the knowledge gaps exist for each student and fill in those gaps, in order to create a complete understanding of the topic, not just get them to memorize answers. I started my college career pursuing architecture because I enjoy drawing and design. I worked primarily in the oil industry with major geological responsibilities on the Alaska North Slope and the North Sea. I have published over 50 technical articles and papers in my field.
