For the past two years I have worked as a teaching assistant for the University of New Brunswick within the duration of my MSc. in Geology. I have taught and aided students within the lab sections of Introduction to Geology, Biogeology, Sedimentology, and 2nd year Field School. All of my teaching experience in chemistry comes from my teaching General Chemistry Labs while pursuing Graduate Studies. This experience relates to my issuing pre-lab lectures prior to lab starting and this basically was designed to summarize the lab and work through example problems or demonstrations. As a graduate from one of the top Liberal Arts schools in New England, I helped tutor college students in English Composition for one semester. Before I changed my major, I was Secondary English Education, which translates into training to be a high school English teacher. As a current graduate student I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the effective techniques and skills it takes for one to succeed within the classroom. I have so far earned my BS in Clinical Psychology and am currently working on my Masters in Business Administration, which have both given me a much greater appreciation and understanding of the importance of organization, promptness, and communication as each pertains to being a successful student.
