I left there in January 2010 to pursue my Masters in Accounting. I gained valuable experience in reading, writing and the application of mathematical formulas through working in a fast paced accounting office. I supervised one to three employees, trained them and audited their work. I prefer to teach in a classroom environment with a structure and learning standards. I can also teach in a one on one tutoring session. It is helpful to have good teaching materials and resources available. I like to have the opportunity to prepare lessons and have the ability to write lesson plans and prepare lessons. I have a proven ability to follow through with those lesson plans. I prefer to have the appropriate support for the teaching environment and at times I have been known to refuse to teach unless I have been given the opportunity to prepare for the teaching event in advance. My style of teaching mathematics, science and Japanese is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. It is only through solving problems (for mathematics and science) and practice (for Japanese) that this knowledge becomes ingrained in a student so that they are confident to move forward.
I began tutoring high school and college students in 1986. I have 6 children of my own who I have raised and taught science and mathematics. A Little Bit About Me...

In the past I Substitute taught Kindergarten through 8th grade at all subjects for one year. I also taught preschool for one year. I have been an Executive Assistant at a college for the past nine months. I have my Bachelors degree in Political Science and plan on getting my Masters degree and teaching certificate.
