In conclusion, I think that I can still be successful in teaching. I however, need to find what area that I can be most successful at. I think that with my non-traditional training and experience, that a similar position would give me the opportunity to be most successful. One thing that I have thought a great deal about these past few weeks, is that I am entering middle age and must be a success at something. In the past, I have found the most enjoyment and fulfillment working with special needs and incarcerated students. I am a very relaxed person and possess an easy going teaching style. I consider myself very approachable and encourage those I am tutoring to ask questions. I specialize in math and biology and am able to teach to students with varying aptitudes in these subjects. My math teaching style consists of working practice problems and teaching different ways of solving problems since each student is different, not the same method works for each student.
