Since 2001, I have had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities. In particular, I have gained significant experience working with students who benefit from alternative learning strategies due to diverse learning styles, developmental issues, or learning disabilities. I find it to be very rewarding to develop new strategies to help students with differing learning styles or abilities master a topic or improve upon their reading abilities. I believe the best way to learn is to ask questions. The best thought process begins with asking the right questions. As a student, I find that knowing the right question was often as important as right answer. Taking this lesson into teaching, I find that getting the student to ask the right question makes all the difference in their understanding. My perspective of teaching is to help the student to find and better understand their own question and which leads the correct answers.
