With over 17 years of teaching experience, I realize the impact that one on one tutoring can have on a student. As a graduate in the field of Education, I have found my true passion in helping students reach their goals and achieve success. I have been working with children in different capacities from the preschool environment to the K-12 level, including working with students with developmental disabilities. For the past year-and-a-half, I have worked as a long-term substitute teacher for the Palm Springs Unified School District, acting as the virtual teacher of record in dedicated classrooms on several occasions. Inherent in that experience, I developed lesson plans and graded student work, as well as liaised with parents and administration. I am versed in the California Content Standards across curriculums and have passed my CBEST, as well as my CSET.

As a Merchant Marine and Chief Steward I have taught, tutored, or mentor kids of all ages and backgrounds. My passion when teaching is to try and breakdown the subject to it's most basic level. A level that the person being taught can understand. Having work with kids from different ethnic and educational backgrounds I find this to be very affective and productive. Also, not having been a great student in high school with dyslexia, I have been able to over come these short comings and graduate from collage with honors.
