I teach using a lot of examples and incorporating the concepts into the example problems so that the student can see how the examples are based on the concepts. As a recent college graduate, I was motivated to study Physics because I find the fundamental nature of the physical world fascinating. In addition to my B.S. in Physics, I also minored in Religious Studies and this course of study has enabled me to understand and communicate with people from a variety of different backgrounds. When I wasn’t in class I spent nearly 3 years doing particle physics research for CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, which I would work at in Geneva Switzerland during the summer. I have taught Medical Neuroanatomy to medical students at the University of Iowa Medical School. Students were directed in dissecting and identifying parts of the human brain. This occurred in small groups of five or six students. I also taught Molecular Neurobiology at Friday Harbor Laboratories to graduate students who came from around the world to take the course.
