A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children are capable of learning. We need to adjust to help everyone learn. Student- centered learning and constructivism are key components in student learning. Once again, my personal belief of education is "You only get out what you put in".
I have taught for a total of 11 years. I taught in Prince George's Public schools for 5 years, Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in DC for 1 year, Avon Park High School for 2 years, Hardee Junior High for 1 year, and Bill Duncan Opportunity Center (alternative school) for 2 years. I have a Bachelor's in Biology and certifications in Math (5-9), Biology (6-12), and Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum (5-9). A Little Bit About Me...

I worked full-time for Okeechobee Eckerds Juvenile home for boys and the Polk County School District. In these positions, I was a reading teacher. I did work many years as a teacher, aide, and assistant that taught special needs learners to strengthen writing, math, and reading difficulties. Hence this gave me experience with many learning situations like one on one and whole group studious conditions. At all academic levels at Elmira College, I helped students to succeed at their scholarly endeavors. As a parent, I guided own daughters to be successful learners. This makes me an excellent candidate to help the next generation to be set on the pathway to thrive in their life vision.
