After a student gains a good understanding of playing a song, I like to go over various ways of playing the song to explore other kinds of expression through the guitar. With this approach, my students may learn to bring logic (technique, scales, theory) and feeling (how music is played) together. I go over beginning lead guitar with students. From January 2006 through August 2008, I worked part-time as a freshman composition instructor, writing lab tutor, and teaching assistant for the English department at UNT.
