As an adjunct faculty instructor at the University of North Alabama, I teach students in a public speaking course through a series of class lectures, individual and group activities, live performances, examinations, and out of class assignments. I work on skills such as audience and situational analysis, research, organization, delivery, body language, and listening. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from one of the top teaching schools in the nation (according to NCATE), and have a degree in elementary and special education. I specialized in math education, but am also qualified to teach English, science, and social studies. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old and as old as 15 in a formal setting. I have helped children go from hating a subject to being successful and loving it.
I first and foremost believe that every child can learn, and I refuse to entertain any idea that says otherwise. I have been able to tutor at the college level in subjects such as chemistry and anatomy and physiology for a brief period of time while I was a student at Northwest Shoals Community College. After I finished my BS at University of North Alabama, I taught for a year at Shoals Christian. There I taught high school physical science courses. Currently I am a lab assistant/tutor at Northwest Shoals Community College where I help students with lower level college math.
