I like the saying, “Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand.” This proverb is a brief, yet simple teaching style that I embrace. Although much of teaching is auditory, involving the student is a major key in the educational development of a child. Visual learning and hands-on approaches seem to work best for most children. Education is a process. Moving from what the learner knows to new goals is not always easy or quick. Once you find that learning style, I always find that the students enjoy learning. Learning can be (and should be) enjoyed.
