I am a commercial graphic designer with 15 years of experience coupled with AS, BA and Master degrees. My work experience includes being a pre-press designer involved in all aspects of spot color printing, senior graphic designer in a marketing department of 4 designers completing a vast array of advertising collateral, extensive design and production of banners and signage, and offset and web press as well as large-scale installations. Additional work knowledge encompasses website design and email blasts.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an college graduate, I was passionate about helping others achieve and improving the world. I earned my BA in Interior Design with a minor in Architectural Drafting. Later, I enrolled in a MBA program but due to the economy, I lost my job which had an substantial effect on my educational quest. I have gained a broad range of math skills and writing skills throughout college, which has helped me tutor bilingual children over the past three years.
I have a deep understanding and zeal for helping people progress. I, too, came from underachieving communities but learned how to achieve because of teachers who had my best interest at stake. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm very laid back and just enjoy being around children. Every child is different and has different interests and difficulties. One box does not fit all, and it's a matter of figuring out how to relate to the child at hand and make the subject matter appealing to them that I enjoy the most.
I spent 4 years in college teaching preschool, as well as 2 years as a high-needs reading tutor for the psych dept at my university. My degree is in journalism/English Lit and my GPA in Lit was a 3.7. I have three children of my own, and they are all avid readers, with my oldest reading 150+ books per school year. I'm well-aware of the current and classical children's literature out there, and taught both of my older children to read - at 5 and 3, respectively.
