I love when I can help others!

I am going to school to become a teacher in the grades of kindergarten through 5th, I have been a nanny for several people and have enjoyed it completely! During my nanny duties, I would of course have a home-schooling section and would also help around the house when needed, so I think that I am a very good candidate for teaching basics and other subjects to help kids better themselves and their studies!

My teaching style is to move at the students pace - however slowly or quickly that may be. I don't mind being asked the same questions. In fact, I believe that there is no such thing as a bad question, and that a student should ask a question as many times as s/he feels it is necessary to do so.

I have a Bachelors Degree from the Univerity of Minnesota where I obtained my secondary teaching license. I have four children of my own and home schooled each one through elementary school and some middle school. They returned to public school for middle school where I then provided tutoring for other classmates. I know sometimes math as well and other subjects come harder for one than the other so I realize the tutoring session needs to be geared toward that particular child.
I love to teach by using the hands on technique. I will do whatever I can to see that the student grasp what is being taught. It is so neat to watch how sometimes you will see the light flick on and you know they "have it". I also will provide hand outs and use the computer to give them extra practice.
