15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. I have a good rapport with my student and have had several that have told me that I am the best teacher they have ever had(which didn't hurt my ego!!) I have been teaching in the homeschool community for about 10 years. I have learn many skills on how to handle different classroom situations. A Little Bit About Me...

In relation to the tutoring position, I have a year of experience in tutoring grammar school students in math and reading. As a graduate student at Mississppi State University, I was a teacher assistant for 2 years in Introduction to World Geography. These are the only two jobs I have had that are related to job that I am applying for.
Personally, I enjoy everything about education. I believe that if you can educate a person, then doors are opened for them. I am the type of tutor that gives basic instructions, then I allow the student to try a few things on their own. If they struggle, then I will step in and help them. I prefer to go over the same material as much as needed until the student is comfortable with the subject matter. Then, I like to move on to a new subject.
