I have completed all courses for my Associates Degree and was a trainer at my previous position. When in high school, I was a college preparatory student and graduated with a high school Diploma as well as 12 Advanced Placement courses and completed my International Baccalaureate diploma.
I love teaching all grades and levels. The most important aspect of teaching is to know your student. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners. Incorporating all aspects into my teaching style assists the retention of the material. It also has to be relatable to the student, so we have to use relevant examples that they understand. Teaching comes easy to me because I was taught very well. In high school I was the president of the FTA club where we would go to local elementary and middle schools to educate children of all educational capacity and mental handicaps. Patience is a valuable skill I had to develop early on, as well as many others, in working with children. My teaching method is to first take the teaching subject(s) and break them down into correlating groups. Then I would see how I would explain that to someone who knows absolutely nothing about the subject. Then explain the material in a slow and efficient manner and repeat if necessary.
