I believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn in a way that is best for them. Every person is different, and that includes the methods they use to learn. I love teaching all grades and levels. The most important aspect of teaching is to know your student. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners. I received my BS in Biology from UNCW and for the last 15 years I have been an Environmental Chemist. Now, I am pursuing my true calling as an educator. It was a regular part of my job to teach and train new grad students and employees and also to do community outreach. In high school I was the president of the FTA club where we would go to local elementary and middle schools to educate children of all educational capacity and mental handicaps.
