While I was in college, I was a nanny/ tutor for two girls- ages eight and nine for two years. Soon after, I spent two years as a paraprofessional, working one-on-one with emotionally disturbed and behavior disorder students ages twelve to eighteen. At Emporia State University I student taught in Kansas City, Kansas elementary schools for a full year and graduated with honors. Currently, I am a substitute teacher in Kansas City waiting for a full time position this fall. My BA degree was in Speech & Theatre. Who would have known that a shy kid like me would have excelled in public speaking, english, and theatre.
