One of the most important task in tutoring is building up a students self confidence. Some students have a learning barrier due to their lack of confidence in a given subject, so I believe a part of a tutors job is to build the confidence of a student, allowing them to believe they are able to do whatever they put their mind to. I use hands on and visual learning techniques which involves draw pictures, using surrounding objects or using examples students can readily relate to. My main goal is to make it FUN. Once a student finds a subject fun they usually put forth the effort to progress in the program. A Little Bit About Me...

My most recent job was as a nursery caregiver at a church, where I was also a teaching assistant for Bible study. I enjoyed working with the children and trying to understand their unique learning styles. While tutoring classmates in physiology, I found it important to repeat topics, but change the context so that the student is not bored and also understands versus memorizes the material. The attributes I bring to tutoring are encouragement, focus, a positive attitude, and honesty. My enthusiasm for the material excited my fellow classmates.
