During my years at the University of New Haven, I earned a BS in Biology and a MS in secondary education. During my undergraduate work, I worked with other biology students to form a laboratory class for students from a private school which had no laboratory facilities. I possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. The first is writing extensive research papers and laboratory reports, and the second is due to extensive public speaking course work. During the past six years I have taught students in the areas of biology, Earth science, Life science, and Marine science.
I love teaching all children and I am very passionate about science. Teachers must become aware of student’s prior knowledge, as well as how to tap into that knowledge and build on it.
