I love teaching all children and I am very passionate about science. Teachers must become aware of student’s prior knowledge, as well as how to tap into that knowledge and build on it. Students learn in different ways, and therefore instruction should include a mixture of different activities. I believe that all students are capable of learning and have something to contribute. Teachers must strive to make education as enjoyable and beneficial as possible for all students. I believe that most students will learn enthusiastically if they are taught enthusiastically.
During my years at the University of New Haven, I earned a BS in Biology and a MS in secondary education. During my undergraduate work, I worked with other biology students to form a laboratory class for students from a private school which had no laboratory facilities.
