During my tenure, I earned an MBA in Aviation. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, I worked for 8 years as a financial examiner for the National Credit Union Administration. This career was followed by 6 years as a private business consultant and as a procurement specialist for the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama. During this time, as a doctoral student, I tutored graduate students in Statistics.

I come into contact with a variety of different students with different areas of interest as a public speaking teacher. My teaching philosophy is to recognize that every student needs, wants, and gets something different from their studies, and it is my job to help them do just that. Rather than conduct a “one size fits all” class, I work with my students individually to guide them in their research and help them get the most out of their speeches. I have a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences. I have taken courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Physics and Comparative Anatomy, and Mammailian Physiology. I also taught the labs for the Microbiology for three years and also taught the labs for Comparative Anatomy for a year. I worked with hundreds of students and throughly enjoyed that time with my students.
I worked first hand with professor and teaching assistant and have learned what they are looking for. I believe in teaching concepts and helping students fully understand ideals rather than students just memorizing facts.
