As a sophomore in high school, I doubled up my math credits so as to take both Geometry and Algebra II at the same time. This was when I truly gained an appreciation for mathematics and the beauty therein. Geometry is a very intriguing field, and sparked my personal interest in mathematics. For that reason, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Geometry. Sentimentality aside, Geometry is a highly applicable field in both technical and non-technical areas. Much of the art of aesthetics hinges on geometric design and understanding the principals of proportion and congruency.
