I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter. I enjoy teaching and working in the clinical practice performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results. My teaching style with younger children is to have a relaxed setting where no pressure in placed upon the student. I'm always sure to review my material before going into a new lecture. When a student is not understanding the material I try to use many methods for then to gain a better understanding. When I was younger it was easier for me to understand information if I can relate it to my life, so I will apply the same methods with teaching others. I am a people person and love to meet new people. I think this helps me in my ways of teaching math. I like to understand how the person learns. That's the beautiful thing about math there are so many ways to learn. After understanding the person it is very easy to teach them. Once the person is comfortable and understand that math isn't hard it is smooth sailing from there. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I have always been good in math.
