I hold a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in arts management. With these degrees, I have taught in the public schools and have held positions in the education departments of several major museums. I have taught a wide variety of course and all age levels. I am certified to teach both visual arts and computers, business, and marketing. I am an art teacher in the Chicago Public Schools currently. Besides teaching art, I also teach a computer course for Columbia College. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and uplifting. First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students. Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems. I often helped people with their math regardless if it was 3rd grade or college level. I'm always offering my help to friends around the area or even online.
