I often helped people with their math regardless if it was 3rd grade or college level. I'm always offering my help to friends around the area or even online. I was hired as an on demand tutor at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh recommended by a professor of mine for an intro to abstract math course.

First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students.
Also with my computer science background, especially in statistics related applications, I can make demonstrations do demonstrate or even solve problems.
