I Help Students Tackle Math With Confidence!

I bring both personality and creativity to math sessions, and I am concerned with the intellectual and emotional well-being of all tutees/students. I currently have a long list of clients that I serve through one-on-one, in-home tutoring--and have both a high success rate and client loyalty with them.
I have enjoyed the personal gratification of tutoring since high school. Since I was 15 years old, I have shared my knowledge and love of mathematics with people of all ages. I attended Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology, where I received my Bachelor of Science in both Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. I also tutored my peers at these institutions. My goal is to help students understand the foundation and theory behind math concepts, so that they can tackle any math problem with ease and confidence. Confidence is key!

I have taught in colleges, corporations and K-12. In each of these arenas, I have found that knowing the student and the way they learn is probably the most important aspect of imparting knowledge. Therefore, my teaching style would vary considerably depending on the learning style of the person. I am patient and creative with a love of life-long learning. It is my goal in education to impart on students that love of learning.
