“You love what you understand and you understand what you are taught.” I believe learning should be fun and understandable. Many times, especially in science, students do not like a subject, because it is not explained in terms they understand. I believe the key is to relate any subject to something the students already understand/love. If a student needs help in math and they love M&M’s, then you can find an equation for the various colors in a bag of M&M’s or find the surface area of an M&M. Everything relates to everything, the connection just needs to be made. A Little Bit About Me...

When I was in high school I excelled in math, particularly in Geometry. I assisted my father in tutoring a great deal of his clients. Once I graduated high school I pursued tutoring in Tallahassee where I attend college. I started off as an afterschool counselor for Belle Vue Middle School but my job soon turned into a teacher's assistant position because of my natural teaching abilities.
