Though I received my degree last June, most of my teaching experience came while I was still learning. In high school, I worked as a museum docent for after-school programs - at one point trying to convince 3rd graders that M.C. Escher's life and work were as exciting as the afternoon TV they were missing. While in college, I worked for Apple computer, teaching adults in one-on-one tutoring sessions in computer usage. There are no bad students, there are bad teachers. Once I had an argument with my University teacher who wanted us to prepare an exercise but did nothing to get our interest in it. I argued because his words were: “It is my job to get your interest to learn” But in that case he didn’t follow his principle at all. I won an argument and he cancelled the task. Other thing I would never bring to my students is the attitude of being Superior. It doesn’t help if you want to make a contact with your student.
