I am a very motivating person and tend to use humor as a method of teaching. I teach to and with the child and never down to him/her. I break large components into their simplest forms so that a child learns to take things one step at a time and not feel overwhelmed. I make the learning relevant to what the child is interested in or knows about so that he/she can be more engaged in the learning process. We set the goal-a reasonable one yet with high expectations and together we achieve it.

While studying in college to become an elementary teacher I sought out many opportunities to practice my new skills and found them in all levels of academia from helping first graders learn to read to assisting my peers with their college papers.
