I like to teach using different strategies and methods, because I know all the students in the classroom are not going to learn the same way. I feel it is best to fully understand my content and standards. Then create lessons to teach the students in a way they will learn the material best for them. I teach using various methods: hands-on, kinesthetic, real life learning, music, incorporating other contents and likes, while still creating a routine for structure. A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy teaching and tutoring college students but could also tutor high school students and grade school. Important is for me to be aware of what the student is finding difficult to learn. So if I see graded homework, tests, quizzes, other things that give me insight into what the student has not accomplished, then I can help. My goal is to get the student at high education level.
I have advanced degrees in mathematics, statistics, and in biology area. I have taught in higher education for 36 years. I have also tutored my higher education students many times. I have done volunteer work to teach grade school and high school students. On example, this year I volunteered to tutor in the student assistance center at Urbana University, Urbana Ohio. So I do have tutoring experience. I can tutor in math, statistics, biology.

A Little Bit About Me...

I always wanted to become a math teacher, but in order to become one in a communist regime; you had to be a member in the Romanian Communist Party. So, I obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineer (172 credit hours). I was working as a designer in Romania and had in parallel a private math and physics tutoring business. At NEIU I finished a lot of credits hours toward my second BA in Secondary Education Mathematics. Meanwhile, I found a job as a Mechanical Engineer at Mercury Products. Three years ago I have relocated with my husband's company in Dayton, Ohio. Meanwhile, I found an Estimator job at PTC and I was laid off due to the economy. My teaching goal is to prepare students to become responsible persons, self-motivated and independent individuals able to solve actual problems and to provide leadership in the technical world. I teach the students not to stop their thinking process once a numerical value has been calculated. I stress the meaningful interpretation of the predicted results and in agreement with physical units and the maximum allowed limits of the actual application.
