My comments on tutoring PSAT : I have tutored for the SAT (and related PSAT) in the past. I have taken the PSAT myself and was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.

I am a big proponent of the theory of multiple intelligences and believe that each student has certain styles of learning that work best for them. I aim to help students figure out how they learn best. Once they realize where their strengths are, they can incorporate the concept into all of their studies, not just the subject for which I happen to be tutoring them.
I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to motivate my students by providing background knowledge and examples of application in the world outside of textbooks. I think it is important for students to create an emotional experience to ensure that knowledge will be stored.
