My comments on tutoring PSAT : I have tutored for the SAT (and related PSAT) in the past. I have taken the PSAT myself and was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.

I have tutored a wide variety students on many subjects. I am most experienced tutoring high school students for the SAT. I worked with Let's Get Ready, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing high school students for the SAT and their college search process. I typically tutored students for the Math section, but I am capable of tutoring for the Critical Reading and Writing sections as well. My experiences have given me opportunity to teach/tutor students of different ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic statuses. At all levels, however, I have realized that all students are capable of success. The key to being an effective teacher/tutor is finding a way to engage the student so that they are active in the learning process.
