Is your child ready for Common Core GPS Math????

I have been teaching middle school math for twenty seven years. I have been tutoring for 22 years. I myself had trouble with math when I was growing up and that helps me to break the standard down in smaller steps to help the student to understand. I like to teach the concept and then use a game and/ or puzzle to reinforce it. I also am a firm believer in repetition.

My name is Jim, and I'm excited to have the opportunity to be your or your child's tutor.I am a junior at Georgia Tech now. I have a double major of mechanical and computer science. My GPA is 3.7, and I got a full score of math in all my ACT tests. Also, I am top 25% students in my major. Since 2012, I have taught TOEFL, SAT, ACT and Chinese to students at test-prep and language. I am now doing co-op program in washington, GA.
I review concepts until it's clear that the student has mastered them, and new ones are introduced only when the student is ready. In addition to increasing my students' scores, I help students take ownership of their learning, with the goal of making them an independent and successful student.
