I love working with people and teaching them about the things that I am passionate about. As a literacy volunteer I was awakened to a deep desire to achieve my degree in a career in the helping profession. This profession opened doors for a career change in education. I firmly believe teaching requires structure. In that regard, the learning process requires a sequences of steps. Firstly, the student must understand the problem to be solved or the skill to be acquired. Secondly, examples are required to show how to approach and solve a prolem. Lastly, overarching concepts can be introduced to unitfy that which is new with that which is already understood.
