Between my studies at Roberts Wesleyan College in the liberal arts field, where I earned a bachelors degree, and my studies in math and computational science I have an exceptionally broad knowledge base. My work experience further illustrates this having worked briefly as an English teacher in Prague as well as the various sales and customer service jobs I have had including Verizon Wireless, Wegmans, and Radio Shack. I love working with people and teaching them about the things that I am passionate about. I firmly believe teaching requires structure. In that regard, the learning process requires a sequences of steps. Firstly, the student must understand the problem to be solved or the skill to be acquired. Secondly, examples are required to show how to approach and solve a prolem. Lastly, overarching concepts can be introduced to unitfy that which is new with that which is already understood. This approach has succesfully trained and kept the interest of all individuals that I have mentored. I firmly believe that every person can learn but that each person has a dominate and secondary learning style of their own.
