I believe every child is capable of matching and exceeding our highest expectations. Every child learns differently and that is my approach. I don't believe in cookie cutter education. I design programs around students interests, needs, and abilities. I believe that positive feedback and reinforcement get better results than negativity, and it is my job to help your child be successful. It is my job to help your child buy into their own education and realize how great it is to be a lifelong learner.
I have been working with students since I was in Middle School myself. I went to college to become a special education teacher and am currently working as a resource specialist. I work with students who have learning disabilities, are at risk, have emotional disturbances, autism, or just need a helping hand. I have also taught in general education classrooms.

Throughout my high school career I maintained a GPA of at least 3.5. The same can be said for my college career so far. By majoring in Liberal Studies, I have gained an extensive knowledge of teaching methods as well as the ability to teach many different types of learners. I have put this knowledge and ability to use both last semester and this semester by tutoring students at Fresno State. This semester, many of my students have learning disabilities. Last semester, every student I worked with passed the class we were working on.
