I'm a senior at Fresno State, soon I will have a B.A. in History, which certifies my ability to research, analyze, and write proficiently. Besides having attained writing skills and expertise in the Social Sciences, I have continually improved my knowledge in several academic fields out of my own initiative; I have honed my skills in Spanish Language and Literature, Englih Literature, math (geometry and algebra) and science (physics, human physiology, and biology). I offer a tailored approach to each student, establishing the particular areas of strength and weakness. I aim to establish or reestablish interest in math and also to teach exam techniques. My tutoring is to focus and prior knowledge and to reinforce new information to the student. Mainly I want each student to know the concept of math not to just memorize formulas which they tend to forget. I focus in making a connection and in understanding the concept.
I have a degree in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz. I am familiar I have also taught elementary school mathematics at traditional high school and at a Charter High School in the Central Valley and in San Jose Ca.
