I obtained a strong liberal arts education where I was able to experience and learn about a wide range of academic topics. However, I have a strong focus and specialization in the sciences with a BA in both Biology and Chemistry with a Mathematics minor. Math and science has been a strong area of mine, as I was a Supplemental Instructor for a genetics course for two semesters, as well as being a Laboratory Assistant that assisted students with questions or problems during genetics laboratory. A Little Bit About Me...

Along to way to obtaining my various degrees, my sentiment changed from achieving an accounting degree to achieving more knowledge in multiple areas. I pursued this avenue in order to expand my horizons as well as my marketability upon graduation. Instead of becoming a graduate with a degree in accounting, I became a multiple graduate with knowledge in many different areas, including accounting and financial management. Obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, a Bachelors Degree in Technical Management, and a Masters Degree in Accounting and Financial Management allowed me to better prepare myself for any and all opportunities.

When I am teaching I am very patient and try to organize the lesson or my assistance in steps. I'll have the child read the problem or question, ask what they know about it, see if they understand the question and proceed. The patient style helps me see what the student's strengths and weaknesses are so I know what they need to practice and focus on. If the child has multiple assignments or tasks I have them perform the more difficult ones first. Starting with the easy assignments may seem like it makes sense but I would prefer that the student have more energy for the tasks they'll have more difficulty with.
