I graduated from a small liberal arts college. There I had my eyes opened to a whole new world of thinking and learning. I received my Bachelors degree in physical education with a minor in coaching. I have a special teaching certificate from the state of Illinois that allows me to teach K-12. I have 6 years of experience working with children of all age, race, and backgrounds. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to teach students from high school level to graduate level. Each student has a different level of understanding and interest for a given subject. When I am teaching I am very patient and try to organize the lesson or my assistance in steps. I'll have the child read the problem or question, ask what they know about it, see if they understand the question and proceed. The patient style helps me see what the student's strengths and weaknesses are so I know what they need to practice and focus on. If the child has multiple assignments or tasks I have them perform the more difficult ones first. Starting with the easy assignments may seem like it makes sense but I would prefer that the student have more energy for the tasks they'll have more difficulty with.
