My teaching style is to get all the children involved with the lesson. I feel that students learn better when they are the ones doing the problem at hand and I am there to help them out along the way. Dealing with many different students from very diverse backgrounds, both geographically and economically, has taught me to be flexible in my instructional approach. What works for one student may be completely foreign to another. I'll try any method I can until I see the proverbial "light" come on in their eyes. Standard classroom/lecture instruction, when done properly, is effective in teaching groups. However, there are always students who may require some one on one attention.
